The Orchestra Sinfonica Puccini is based in Civitanova Marche and is formed by excellent musicians coming from the Marche Region, but also from the Abruzzo, Umbria and Emilia Romagna.
Created by a previous experience that was the formation of the Orchestra del ‘700 Italiano which, in its ten-year activity, has faced unpublished pages of the eighteen century such as the Sant’Ignazio Mass by Domenico Zipoli and other works of the eighteenth-century repertoire of composers such as G.F.Haendel, B.Marcello, A.Marcello, A.Vivaldi, G.B.Pergolesi, F.J.Haydn, A.Salieri and W.A.Mozart. The orchestra has made various recordings including the DVD of Requiem KV 626 and Die Zauberflöte di W.A.Mozart at the Teatro dell’Aquila in Fermo.
The Orchestra Sinfonica Puccini has also been appreciated for its interpretation that have distinguished it, for the high individual value of the musicians who play in the orchestra and for the technical and artistic qualities of the ensemble.
From 2019 the orchestra partecipates in the concerts of Marche InVita promoted by the Marche Region in various theatre such as the Teatro Feronia in San Severino Marche and the Teatro Vaccaj in Tolentino. The Orchestra Sinfonica Puccini was often invited to perform at the Midsummer Concert held every year in Piazza della Madonna in Loreto. It is the stable orchestra of the opera seasons of the Civitanova all’Opera Season until 2018 always receiving unanimous acclaim from the public and critics. The orchestra has been appreciated in the productions of Verdi’s La traviata, Puccini’s Tosca, Madama Butterly and La bohème, Rossini’s Il barbiere di Siviglia and Mascagni’s Cavalleria Rusticana. The interpretation of the Stabat Mater by Rossini at the Teatro Rossini in Civitanova Marche, at the Duomo of Teramo and in the Sant’Agostino Church of Ascoli Piceno has received great acclaim. The orchestra has been founded in the 2001 by the maestro Alfredo Sorichetti which is the Music director.
